tesserapeople: From “Paris” by Adam Bartos I’m about to head out for a 2 week residency in rural Michigan and while I have a lot of things on my mind and a lot of things I could work on there I keep trying to remind myself to keep things simple and look at what’s in front of me. Perhaps the last thing I should be doing right now is creating more negatives for me to edit through later, but the opportunities to do so also shouldn’t be squandered… who cares if I have two huge projects I’m currently trying to edit.  I recently discovered the work of Adam Bartos and his Paris pictures are perhaps my favorite depicting the city that I’ve seen. I love the city and he has photographed it in a way that I wish I had, and still may try to in the future.  And yea, I just ordered his book Boulevard.  In the end, if I can come back with one photograph that has the transcendant power of any of these images I’ll consider the trip a success - but the goal is a whole notebook full.  - ph  Its true..  It never is a good time to go, or to do it but you just have to..
